New ways to explore Mars

Following the successful deployment of the autonomous NASA helicopter nicknamed “Ginny,” during the 2020 Ingenuity Mars mission, it became clear that there would be a new way to explore the red planet. By air! These visuals were created to explore what a more capable and versatile aerial drone would look like if deployed by 2030. Larger payloads for more science, longer flight times and more autonomy were some of the areas explored.
